We have had record-breaking snow falls and winter temperatures over the past week. I took advantage of the extreme winter weather to collect some fabulous photos around our farm!
Our pond was frozen which meant we could take a walk across the pond, and down the creek bed that runs at the far side of the pond. Of course, we checked the thickness of the ice at the center and around the edge of the pond. The ice at the center was about 2 inches thick, and at the edge it was about 4 inches.
Around the farm, we measured the snow depth in many places. The lowest was 7.5 inches, and the highest was 13.5. The average snow depth was about 8.5 inches.
While it was a fun week of winter, we are all ready for spring! (Never fear, it will be arriving in just a few short days!)
