Kitchen Reno: Part 1

If you think I’m avoiding you, it has nothing to do with the coronavirus. I promise.

Really, we’ve been beyond busy this week with a major project….

Kitchen Renovation!!

Because I’m exhausted, we will just go through a few photos of each day. Photos are worth a thousand words anyway, right?!

Let’s start with a before photo…

Day O- The kids and I started a day early, just for “fun.”

Day 1- Official starting day began with a trip to Lowe’s for supplies. When we returned, we removed large furniture, all laminate and tile flooring and cleaned it up. We made a make-shift living area in the garage.

Day 2- Church and wall removal. Very holy and therapeutic!

Day 3- First full day of work. Stud and popcorn ceiling removal…. WORST day ever!

Day 4- Electrical work for Nathan. I worked on fixing the ceiling and painting. The kids went off to do their own things (& Otto came back to put in the lights!)

At the end of day 4 all the electrical problems were fixed and most of the walls and ceilings were a pale blue. We were very tired at this point, but were still motivated to keep going!
