Whole House Reset Checklist

I have heard that there are two types of people: The first is the type of person who in constantly tidying things up around their house. The second is the type of person who deep cleans on a routine basis, maybe once or twice a month. But I would like to add a third type of person, which accurately represents me! This is the person who daily tidies things up and does a monthly or bi-monthly deep clean. Now, call it overkill or OCD, but I like living in a neat, clean space on a daily basis. Yet with all the chaos that comes with life, family, and homesteading, I often ignore some of the larger tasks (i.e. cleaning walls, fan blades, closet declutter, etc..) and save those for the deep cleaning sessions when I have time!

In any given week, I am regularly tidying up surfaces, wiping down counters and quick-cleaning spaces throughout my home. When my children were little, I completed the bulk of the cleaning and involved them some, for learning purposes. Now that my children are older, they have weekly chores that cover the entire main living spaces (living room, kitchen, dining, entryway, hall bathroom and their personal bedrooms!) I still clean as needed and take care of the cleaning of the master bedroom and bathroom. Occasionally, with holidays, illness or travel, the whole house cleaning is still left up to me and is only accomplished once in a week. Below is my method of attacking the mess and resetting our home for the upcoming week!
