Apple Spice Waffles
Equipment
- 1 Mixing Bowl
- 1 Waffle Maker
- 1 Vegetable Peeler
- 1 Kitchen Knife
- 1 Spatula
- Measuring Cups and Spoons various sizes
Ingredients
- 2 cups Flour
- 1/4 cup Cane Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- pinch Sea Salt
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Ground Cloves
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/4 cup Apple Sauce unsweetened
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Large Apples peeled and finely diced
Instructions
- Preheat waffle maker according to directions.
- Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Stir.
- In a separate measuring container, combine wet ingredients and stir well.
- Peel and finely dice apples. Add to dry ingredients and stir.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir until combined. Do not over mix.
- Add 1/4 cup of batter per waffle section of the waffle iron. Cook according to waffle maker instructions, or until waffles are golden brown.
- Serve with butter and maple syrup.
- Store leftovers in covered container in refrigerator for up to 5 days.
