Apple Spice Waffles

Apple Spice Waffles

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • 1 Waffle Maker
  • 1 Vegetable Peeler
  • 1 Kitchen Knife
  • 1 Spatula
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons various sizes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1/4 cup Cane Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • pinch Sea Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/4 cup Apple Sauce unsweetened
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Large Apples peeled and finely diced

Instructions

  • Preheat waffle maker according to directions.
  • Combine all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Stir.
  • In a separate measuring container, combine wet ingredients and stir well.
  • Peel and finely dice apples. Add to dry ingredients and stir.
  • Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir until combined. Do not over mix.
  • Add 1/4 cup of batter per waffle section of the waffle iron. Cook according to waffle maker instructions, or until waffles are golden brown.
  • Serve with butter and maple syrup.
  • Store leftovers in covered container in refrigerator for up to 5 days.
